A salute to Bombay's Art Deco buildings. The collection consists of fabrics in classic and contemporary designs.
The Art Deco buildings of Bombay are a unique blend of Indian motifs with Art-Deco imagery, creating a style that became known as Indo-Deco. The elegant sweeping lines, curves, and elements such as waves, sunrises, lotuses, and peacocks became beloved elements of ornamentation of this style. This style became vogue throughout the Indian sub-continent culminating in Manik Bagh Palace in Indore, the Morvi Palace, and the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi.
Bombay’s Art Deco buildings are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
